ROOK is in active development. Its core record, work loop and operator surfaces are real, but there is no installer or signed distributable yet. A description of a running development system is not a release promise.

Read status as a dated ledger
Moving product facts should not be scattered through every feature page. This section owns one dated status reading, while the earlier sections explain stable concepts such as the two loops, the record and the device model.

What the handbook does not imply
The presence of working components does not mean ROOK is publicly available, ready for production credentials or suitable for a team. The device model does not prove platform support. The record design does not guarantee that every crash or retry converges without intervention.
This handbook also contains no setup, installation, pricing, licence or release instructions. Those pages would be misleading before a verified distribution path exists.
Evidence date
The status pages were checked on 11 August 2026 against the pinned ROOK source snapshot from 10 August 2026 and the approved public claim set. Later product work may change a status sentence without changing the feature model.
